Prevent Dental Disease in Pets with YourVets

Posted on 19th September 2016

As with all disease, prevention is always better than cure. There are several ways you can help reduce the chance of your pet developing dental disease. Try feeding your pet a larger amount of hard foods, or ask YourVets about our specialist diets that will help clean your pets’ teeth.

Just like with us humans, the best way to prevent dental disease in cats and dogs is a combination of daily tooth brushing using pet safe toothpaste. Don’t use human toothpaste as it contains levels of fluoride, which is toxic to our pets! We also recommend twice yearly visits to the vet to check your pet’s teeth.

To book your dog or cat in for a FREE dental check-up, give YourVets a call today, and keep your pets’ teeth in tip top condition!
