Welcome to YourVets Solihull

Meet our Solihull team

  • Rabbit and Degu Owner, film fanatic

I joined YourVets Solihull when the clinic opened back in June 2012. Before joining YourVets I previously worked at an animal rescue but decided I wanted to take a slightly different career path.

I really enjoy being an animal nursing assistant and hopefully would like to work towards being a vet nurse in the future. I’m also in charge of the weight clinics at YourVets Solihull, so if you need advice with helping your overweight pet shed those pounds then please call me at the clinic.

    Adele Byrne, Animal Nursing Assistant

  • Keen runner and customer services champion

I joined YourVets Solihull in August 2012 as a Receptionist. Since then i’ve progressed to Head Receptionist. I have always wanted to work with animals and this carries through to my home life where I currently have 6 cats, 1 dog & 2 rabbits.

The best part of my job is seeing happy animals walk out of the building after they have been so poorly.

    Emily Long, Head Receptionist

  • Mummy, 6 rescue cats

I have been in the Veterinary Industry for 16 years. I have been qualified as a RVN for 11 years. I joined YourVets Solihull at the end of July 2013 and already feel that I am part of this terrific team.

    Amy Beard, Registered Veterinary Nurse

  • Scuba diver, piano player, movie buff

I joined YourVets Solihull in August 2013. I was particularly impressed by the friendly and caring attitude of everyone in the clinic. I love working with all animals but I have to admit I have a soft spot for all those gorgeous puppies and kittens that come in to us for their first check ups!

I own a Degu called Cedric (named after Cedric Diggory from Harry Potter!)

    Nicola Barnes, Veterinary Surgeon

  • Black Labrador owner, cake baker, marathon runner

I joined YourVets Solihull in November 2012. I have a particular interest in canine and feline medicine and I’m about to start my BSAVA certificate in small animal medicine.

I love building a relationship with my patients and their owners and enjoy seeing how they grow and progress.

    Vicki Kelley, Veterinary Surgeon

  • Proud owner of a Black Labrador and a Maine Coon,  medical and critical care fanatic!!

I have worked in small animal practice since qualifying in January 2011 and came to YourVets Solihull in August 2012. I joined YourVets to be able to use all my skills as a nurse and enjoy a very varied case load. My love of animals came at a very young age and interest in medicine not long after.

Best part of my job: Seeing the patients get better!

    James Smith, Registered Veterinary Nurse

  • Owner of an Alaskan Malamute and 3 crazy Cats

I joined Yourvets Solihull when it opened in June 2012. I started as a Receptionist, then in August I was made a Pet Health Advisor. I love my job, as everyday is different. I like seeing animals getting better after being ill. I also enjoy learning new things and helping clients and their pets.

    Sarah Shiels, Pet Health Advisor

  • Martial artist, heavy metaller, flown a helicopter.

I joined YourVets Solihull in February 2013 after working at the clinic as a Locum Nurse, I really enjoyed my time at the clinic so I was thrilled to get my job here.

I have always wanted to work with animals as they are so diverse and interesting, I really enjoy caring for them and nursing them back to health.

Sophie Watson , Registered Veterinary Nurse

  • People (and pet) person, horse rider

I’m a receptionist at YourVets Solihull after having had a career change to do something I have always wanted to do, work with animals. At home there’s a Cleveland Bay horse called Bella, a Border Terrier called Roly & a cat called Fred, whom I all adore.

I feel I have my dream job spending my working days with all the lovely pets that come into the practice.

    Sally Ingram, Veterinary Receptionist
